Japan Film Festival at UP Diliman


The Japan Foundation, Manila, in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan, the Shangri-La Plaza Mall (EDSA), and the UP Film Institute (Diliman), proudly presents Eiga Sai 2010 featuring contemporary films. 


After the successful screenings at the Shang Cineplex Cinema 4, Shangri-La Plaza, the film festival now moves to Gaisano South City Mall, Davao (July 23-25), Ayala Center, Cebu (Aug 3-8), and UP Film Institute for its final series of screenings, which will run from August 18-21.
The films include Takita Yojiro’s "The Battery - Future in Our Hands” (Batterii, 2007 Suo Masayuki’s “I Just Didn’t Do It” (Soredemo boku wa yatte nai, 2007), Ichikawa Jun’s “How to Become Myself” (Ashita no watashi no tsukurikata, 2007),  Tsutsumi Yukihiko’s ”The Bandage Club” (Houtai kurabu, 2007), Ogigami Naoko’s “Glasses (Megane, 2007), Hirosue Hiromasa’s “Fourteen” (Juyon-sai, 2007), Matsuoka Joji’s “TOKYO TOWER Mom & Me, and Sometimes Dad” (Tokyo tawaa Okan to boku to tokidoki oton, 2007), Yamamoto Nizo’s anime film “Miyori in the Sacred Forest” (Miyori no mori, 2007) and Yamamura Koji’s “Franz Kafka’s A Country Doctor” (Kafka Inaka isha, 2007, nominated for the Best Animated Short Film Academy Award 2002).

Wanted: Competency Procedure Writers


Scope of Duties

Report directly to Career Development Team Leader. Working as part of a team the successful candidate should be able to:

  1. Design and produce competence development standards in line with Training and Dev. requirements.
  2. Closely coordinate with Technical Training Team Leader to produce competence profiles for Developees.
  3. Closely coordinate with Technical Trainers to produce competence profiles and Task sheets for Developees.
  4. Produce job training modules for Maintenance discipline developees.
  5. Produce documents pertaining to SVQ (Scottish Vocational Qualification) as per ADGAS requirement.
  6. Review existing FAPS, and IDP Job profiles prior to producing competence standards for CAS/SVQ requirements.
  7. Assist in producing Assessment, Verification and Coaching procedures for CAMS, CAS and SVQ requirement
  8. Assist in producing various training related documents as and when required.
  9. Maintain good working relationships with Technical Training Team and Learning Resources Team.

Minimum Requirements:
Aged 35 – 55
Bachelor Degree
Very good standard of written and spoken English Language
Good interpersonal skills

Remuneration Package:
ADGAS equivalent to Gr. 13
Salary fixed, with comprehensive benefits package
5 Days work (Sunday to Thursday) followed by 2 Days off
Normal expatriate benefits, dependent on marital status and number of children
Free accommodation and meals etc on Das Island
